Material Planner

Location: Mishawaka, IN | Salary: $56,160–$58,240
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM | Work Environment: 100% On-Site

Position Overview

We are seeking a Material Planner to support a manufacturing operation. This individual will be responsible for coordinating material requirements, maintaining inventory data, and supporting purchasing activities to ensure production needs are met. The ideal candidate will have prior purchasing or material planning experience within a manufacturing environment and be comfortable working in SAP.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and coordinate material requirements to support production schedules.
  • Create and maintain purchase orders for automotive components and materials.
  • Enter and update data accurately within SAP.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with replenishment activities.
  • Communicate with suppliers and internal departments regarding material availability and delivery timelines.
  • Maintain purchasing records, reports, and documentation.
  • Support daily administrative and clerical functions related to material planning and procurement.
  • Utilize Outlook, Excel, and SAP to track and manage purchasing activities.
Qualifications
  • 1–3 years of purchasing, procurement, material planning, or supply chain experience.
  • Experience within a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Working knowledge of SAP required.
  • Basic Excel and Microsoft Outlook skills.
  • Strong data entry accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and correspondence skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.
