You are:
The SAP Costing / Material Ledger Manager oversees product costing, inventory valuation, and financial accuracy within SAP, with a focus on the Material Ledger and actual costing processes. This role partners closely with the client to ensure compliant cost flows, lead period-end close activities, and drive process improvements and system enhances.
The work:
  • Lead efforts to gather requirements and design solutions to meet these requirements
  • Analyze and design new business processes to create the documentation that guides the implementation of new processes and technologies
  • Partner with the business to define product requirements and use cases to meet process and functional requirements
  • Facilitate interaction with technical counterparts to ensure technical solutions meet all functional requirements
  • Develop test strategies and manage large complex test efforts
  • Business process design and system analysis
  • Coordinate and manage across architects, developers, technical services (i.e. BASIS, Middleware, Portal) and business analysts to perform business analyst functions and responsibilities
  • Maintenance, enhancement and/or development of SAP modules, including interfacing with other applications
  • Budgeting, staffing, forecasting and work planning
  • Manage a team, including mentoring and training junior team members

Here's what you need:
  • 7 + years SAP ECC Controlling experience
  • SAP Finance subject matter expertise in end-to-end Product Costing processes including Material Ledger functionality with integration points with other modules such as Project Systems, Payroll, Materials Management and Finance
  • Knowledge of CO functionality, including Internal Order, Cost Center Accounting, Assessment, Distribution, Cost Transfer etc.

Nice to have:
  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • Relevant SAP certifications
  • Experience with SAP Public Sector Financials and knowledge of SAP Financial Accounting
