Job description

Job Title

Loads, unloads, and moves materials within or near the plant, yard, or work site by performing the following duties. Pull/Transfer and Service Inventory to the different factories.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include The Following:
  • Employee will work to fulfill production schedules.
  • Employee will be certified in our quality control process.
  • Employee will meet the quality goals.
  • Employee will meet the productivity goals.
  • Employee will comply to the company safety standards.
  • Employee will be forklift certified.
Authority:

Follows the direction of the Inventory Lead or Material Handling Supervisor. Makes independent decisions consistent with assigned duties.

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Ability:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Math Ability:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving a few variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a working knowledge of Windows software.

  • Must be able to work on your feet including, standing for the entire length of the shift, which are up to 10 hours.
  • Must be able to work in and around manufacturing and production equipment, which includes frequently climbing ladders, bending, stooping, standing, walking, twisting, kneeling, and reaching.
  • Must be able to see/hear to visually and audibly acknowledge critical safety instructions, alarms, forklift traffic, perform quality inspections, and equipment inspections.
