Job description

We are looking for a Warehouse/Material Handler Associate to help take us to the next level! Warehouse/Material Handler Associates routinely loads, unloads, and moves materials within or near warehouse, yard, or jobsite.
Qualifications and Responsibilities
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
  • Uses forklift, hoist, or by hand, to move inventory products for storage or delivery. Must be able to lift 75 pounds.
  • Reads pick orders accurately, assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves accurately, or conveys orders to pickup area or delivery truck.
  • Loads products on customer truck or, on company truck for delivery to customer, in accordance with established operating and safety procedures. Installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
  • Unloads inventory products from vendor delivery trucks in accordance with established operating and safety procedures.
  • Sorts and places received products on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code. Labels, tags, or marks products as instructed and in accordance with procedures.
  • Records amounts of products received or distributed in accordance with established procedures.
  • Double checks that correct quantities and products are received, distributed, and recorded. Reports discrepancies to supervisor immediately. Completes and submits all other required or requested reports in an accurately and timely manner.
  • Complies with all applicable safety procedures. Operates equipment and performs all duties is a safe manner. Completes and submits “Incident Report” in accordance with company’s policies and procedures for any happenings that caused or may have caused personal injury or property damage.
  • Inventories (counts) products in warehouse and yard as instructed by supervisor.
  • Maintains certification for forklift operation. Does not operate forklift without proper certification. Inspects and maintains forklift and other equipment in accordance with established procedures.
  • Maintains work area in an orderly manner. Keeps work area clean and free of clutter.
  • Makes sure to provide good customer service – knows the customer comes first
