Material Handler Associate I

Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour

Schedule: Friday – Monday | 4:00 AM – 2:30 PM

Contract: 3 Months

Location: San Diego, CA-92121

Note: Employees may be required to work at different warehouse locations throughout San Diego as business needs require.


Position Summary

We are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Material Handler Associate I to support shipping, receiving, inventory management, and order fulfillment operations within a manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience handling materials, maintaining accurate inventory records, and supporting warehouse and production activities. This position requires strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform shipping and receiving activities, including loading, unloading, and verifying materials.
  • Pick, pack, stage, and move materials to support production and customer orders.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts.
  • Enter and update material and inventory information using computer systems.
  • Inspect incoming and outgoing materials for accuracy and proper documentation.
  • Operate pallet jacks and other material-handling equipment safely.
  • Follow established safety, quality, and warehouse procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Support warehouse and production teams with material movement and fulfillment needs.
  • Work at different warehouse locations throughout San Diego as needed.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ year of shipping and receiving experience OR 1–2 years of manufacturing experience.
  • Basic computer and data-entry skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work the scheduled Friday–Monday, 4:00 AM–2:30 PM shift.
  • Ability to work at different warehouse locations as business needs require.
