What you will enjoy doing*
  • You will support the development, implementation, and maintenance of standard costing methodologies across manufacturing operations, including labor, overhead, material, and routing structures.
  • You will partner with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Accounting teams to validate bills of materials (BOMs), routings, inventory transactions, and manufacturing cost drivers to ensure accurate product costing.
  • You will analyze manufacturing variances, inventory transactions, labor utilization, scrap, and overhead absorption to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for operational and financial improvement.
  • You will support ERP/MRP costing activities, data validation, system testing, and troubleshooting efforts associated with standard cost implementation and ongoing system enhancements.
  • You will prepare reports, cost models, financial analyses, and supporting documentation to assist leadership with operational decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • You will support Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives by identifying waste, improving process efficiency, supporting standard work development, and enhancing costing accuracy across operations.
  • You will demonstrateleadership humility by collaborating effectively across functions, remainingopen to feedback and continuous learning, supporting team objectives, andpromoting a respectful and accountability-driven work environment

What makes you great
  • MS/MA/MBA with 0-4 years of related accounting, manufacturing finance, cost accounting, or operational analysis experience OR BS/BA with 3+ years of related experience OR 10+ years of directly related manufacturing costing or accounting experience at AMT/PGT or similar manufacturing environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Operations, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing cost accounting processes including standard costing, inventory analysis, BOM validation, labor and overhead analysis, and variance reporting.
  • Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems such as Oracle, SAP, Costpoint, or similar manufacturing systems.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including formulas, pivot tables, data validation, reporting, and financial modeling.
  • Ability to gather, clean, validate, and analyze operational and financial data from multiple cross-functional sources.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with Accounting, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and external implementation resources.
  • Foundational understanding of Lean Production System principles including continuous improvement, waste reduction, standard work, root cause analysis, and process optimization.
  • Demonstrated leadership humility through teamwork, accountability, openness to feedback, adaptability, and support of continuous learning and operational excellence.
  • Lean, or Six Sigma certification/training is preferred.
