Job description

The work location for this position is flexible.

The Business Unit Analyst will support the team in executing primary research for assigned projects, including data extraction and analysis, and providing strategic research insights and by providing administrative support which includes and not limited to travel planning, calendar organization, data storage and retrieval, and presentation preparation.

Job Responsibilities

Develop charts, graphs and tables in Excel and Power Point; build a story from the data, crafting a powerful presentation that delivers the results and analysis of the research in a visual manner that can be presented to Executives and Board Members

Run data queries

Summarize research project findings in written report form, sometimes on tight deadlines, specifically tailored with the receiving audience in mind

Provide industry information and data available through public forums

Conduct monthly market share trading and trend analysis

Perform applicable market research for information, industry trends, and events

Coordinate and manage dealer salesperson incentive program

Drive and coordinate complex events such as customer and dealer trade show events

Remain actively involved in and support the Marketing department with the Business Unit's social media applications

Provide administrative support on marketing and/or sales programs, as assigned

Coordinate business unit staff meetings including developing an agenda, preparing / coordinating the applicable content, reviewing information presented, and following-up on action items

Manage the Business Unit President's calendar including managing and resolving scheduling conflicts and providing required material ahead of scheduled meetings

Maintain business action register and follow-up with responsible stakeholders

Support the Specialty Vehicles team, as directed, through the preparation and organization of meetings and presentations

Prepare and consolidate materials for Board of Directors meetings, Leadership Team events, and other gatherings, as assigned

Organize meetings and exercise judgment and discretion in the handling of requests for appointments and/or calls

Use Outlook to coordinate and schedule meetings, as deemed necessary by the executive

Reserve meeting space and attendees' time

Provide a meeting objective and agenda, when possible

Ensure all attendees are informed of any scheduling changes

Provide action item lists and meeting summaries, as necessary

Supply and set up audio-visual equipment and other essentials for meetings

Use excellent written and oral communication skills, in a professional manner, throughout all levels of the organization and when interacting with visitors, customers, suppliers, etcetera

Create and/or proofread documents, such as letters, memos, and emails

Able to:

o Coordinate all travel arrangements for the executive, including air, ground, and hotel arrangements

o Some international travel arrangements will include preparations for the executive's phone and laptop, research for visa / travel requirements, and applications for essential documents

Prepare the necessary expense reports upon completion of the trips, in alignment with company travel policies

Create presentations for a wide variety of audiences: all associates, Board of Directors, visitors, direct reports, and more. Organize and utilize creative abilities to develop professional presentations from outlinematerial

Work with other administrative personnel to implement lean thinking into the administrative aspect of our business

Lead out, or assist, on projects as needed

Process appropriate invoices

Reconcile the department's credit card statement

Maintain appropriate subscriptions (as determined by the executive)

Sort mail

Create and maintain project sites and other information databases used by the executive

Other tasks as assigned
