Picture Framer Full Time (4-5 Days per week) Experience required in a custom framing business. Hourly wage depends upon experience and skills. Full benefits.
If you are an experienced custom framer, we would like to talk with you!
Our talented framers perform meticulous preservation framing and have experience in all aspects of custom framing and machine maintenance. Basic math skills are essential. Good sales and design skills are important as the job will also involve designing framing with customers. The current job will require 1-2 days of weekend work per week. Schedule is flexible depending on skills.
Our framing candidate must be able to work in a cooperative, collaborative environment with our current staff.
Our framer's abilities include use of a computerized mat cutter, cutting moulding (wood or metal), mounting, glass, acrylic cutting, shadow box specialties, stretching and stitching of textiles or canvas paintings, fabric wrapping, mirror framing, and all preservation techniques.. We use a Valiani CMC, a CTD double miter saw, an underpinner, a Frame Square saw, a Morso chopper, Epson scanners and large format printers.
The Framer's Workshop is a family owned custom frame shop near the University of California at Berkeley. We have been in business at the same location since 1977. We are open seven days a week.
