Job description

PPG's Aerospace Business is looking for Master Production Scheduler to join our team in Mojave, CA! As a Sealants Master Production Scheduler you will manage and schedule production to meet targeted inventory levels, optimize capacity, and ensure high product availability. This includes analyzing risks within the Master Production Plan, updating schedules as needed, and coordinating daily, weekly, and monthly execution with cross-functional teams. You will leverage ERP systems, create tools and dashboards to improve scheduling effectiveness, monitor performance against plan, and drive corrective actions. Additionally, you will support customer-specific scheduling needs, lead production meetings, contribute to the S&OP process, and maintain communication across planning, production, quality, and site personnel.
This is an on-site role in our Mojave, CA facility. You will report to the Aerospace Supply Chain Manager.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage and Schedule production to achieve targeted inventory levels and maintain to ensure high service levels, i.e. product availability.
  • Design schedule efficiency and utilize the production capacity, forecast, historical sales, product availability, and new processes.
  • Analyze and identify risks associated with the options built into the Master Production Plan including manufacturing and all other critical lead times.
  • Coordinate with planning team members to execute production plan on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
  • Update the Master Production plan as necessary.
  • Effectively utilize ERP to ensure date management, product cycle times, and production capacity are monitored and updated regularly/quarterly.
  • Create and implement tools and processes to continuously improve scheduling for improvements supporting customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor actual output versus the Master Production Plan, identify gaps, and drive solutions, including a metric on production performance to the requested production schedule and reporting of key metrics.
  • Track production progress and review schedule-affecting factors.
  • Support Customer Scheduling for custom critical requirements.
  • Where required create dashboards, graphs, reports, and presentations for site, management, leadership, platform, and customers.
  • Support the S&OP process and meetings to help review performance against schedule, inventory strategy, and supply plan to meet demand and resource implications.
  • Run daily production meetings and promote clear communication and direction to all appropriate departments. Ensure project goals are met.
  • Work with all planning, production, quality, and site personnel.

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, operations supply chain, or similar roles required.
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or related degree preferred.
  • Foster teamwork while aligning with EHS and Ensuring all roles and requirements are in line with AS9100 Quality requirements.

The base salary range for this position is $105,000 to $125,000, with a possibility of an annual bonus up to 7% of base salary.
