Job description

This person must be an organized, hands-on constructions professional with a knowledge of the various trades going into a full home renovation. This person must be willing to lead by example, take pride in a job well-done, take initiative, be willing to go the extra mile, and enjoy serving clients.

TASKS:

· Work cooperatively with Project Managers, Accounting, and Designers

· Interact professionally with Clients, office staff and others

· Develop relationships with industry partners, vendors, and subcontractors

· Direct, supervise, and mentor crew members and sometimes sub-contractors

· Participate in the construction of the project at each phase per the specs

· Framing, roofing, siding, general rough-ins of mechanicals, drywall, trimming, cabinetry and built-ins, insulating, installing widows & doors, earthwork, concrete, masonry, painting, tile work, floor finishing and installations, etc.

The MUSTS:

· High School diploma, or equivalent, college experience or degree preferred

· Must have a valid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation, preferably a truck or a van.

· A minimum of five years in carpentry, preferably in high end residential construction

· A commitment to delivering outstanding service to high end clientele

· Strong work ethic, self-directed, motivated, and reliable

· Open to feedback

· Detail-oriented and a highly resourceful problem-solve

· Concise communication and presentation skills, verbal and written

· Strong time management skills

· Must be able to wear and use appropriate personal protective equipment

· Must be able to read and interpret plans

· Base knowledge in all construction trades and all phases of construction

· Ability to lead in a respectful, non-confrontational manner and to mentor others

· Gracious, respectful attitude toward others on the team in various places of growth

· Demonstrated ability to consistently meet deadlines

· Must have own tools or be willing to purchase

· Willing to learn Project Management software for drawings, communication, details, etc.

PHYSICAL Requirements and WORK environment:

· Physical strength and stamina, ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 80lbs.

· Manual dexterity and multi-limb coordination, ability to handle, feel, lift, operate, and move objects, tools, or controls.

· Strong construction reading and math skills.

· Ability to work in a construction environment.

· Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, bend, dig, go up and down stairs and ladders, crouch, and crawl, and lying down.

· Exposure to heat and/or cold, and inclement weather.

· Limited exposure to fumes or airborne particles.

· Ability to travel to various job sites typically within an hour but further as needed.
