We are seeking a talented individual to join our team at Marsh as a Placement Broker based out of our New York City office. This is a hybrid role that requires working at least three days a week in the office.
The successful candidate will lead daily operations from a support and administrative level, coordinating complex logistics and task assignments for client relationship projects while ensuring effective communication and problem resolution.
We will count on you to:
  • Utilize your risk expertise and industry knowledge to analyze client exposures and develop tailored insurance solutions.
  • Manage the placement process including soliciting quotes, negotiating with panel markets, and ensuring accuracy of insurance programs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers, underwriters, and client teams to deliver best-in-class service.
  • Participate in renewal strategy meetings and lead client M&A integrations related to local policies and divestitures.
  • Document all activities accurately in systems to ensure timely follow-up and compliance with global network standards.

What you need to have:
  • 3+ years of industry experience with proven success working collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.
  • Solid knowledge of market risk issues, insurance brokerage, account management, and servicing.
  • Proficiency with business systems and technology; prior insurance experience with a broker or carrier.
  • P&C license or ability to obtain; Bachelor's degree preferred.

Marsh is committed to hybrid work, which includes the flexibility of working remotely and the collaboration, connections and professional development benefits of working together in the office. All Marsh colleagues are expected to be in their local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week. Office-based teams will identify at least one "anchor day" per week on which their full team will be together in person.
The applicable base salary range for this role is $92,500 to $197,100.
The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
