The Role
Title: Sr. Marketing Project Manager
Team: Marketing
Location: Remote/Hybrid San Diego, CA
Reports To: Sr. Director of Brand
What You'll Do
As the Sr. Marketing Project Manager, you will own the project management of critical marketing initiatives, campaigns and creative across multiple brands within our portfolio. Partner with product and performance marketing teams to ensure alignment with business objectives, manage planning, and deliver on time and within scope. This role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to manage competing priorities, and proven ability to influence stakeholders across multiple brands to drive alignment and adoption.
The Sr. Marketing Project Manager is expected to identify gaps proactively, ask strategic questions before work begins, and build and improve processes. The Sr. Marketing Project Manager will also occasionally handle ad hoc tasks related to Hubspot, website editing, landing page creation, etc.
The position is remote or based in San Diego, CA with a hybrid work schedule (3 days per week in office).

  • Project Intake: Review project requests to make sure all information is complete and accurate and assess alignment with broader brand and business.
  • Timeline & Milestone Management: Create, maintain, and communicate detailed project timelines, ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned on deadlines, deliverables, and expectations across concurrent initiatives.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Regularly update key stakeholders on project progress, challenges, and risks, offering solutions to ensure timely and effective execution and proactively surfacing gaps and recommendations.
  • Capacity Planning: Coordinate and allocate internal and external resources, including agencies or freelancers when directed, to ensure the efficient execution of marketing projects.
  • Process Improvement: Develop SOPs and proactively identify and own the implementation and adoption of process improvements including AI enablement to streamline marketing workflows and improve collaboration between teams.
  • Strategic Creative Partnership: Participate in creative briefings across brands to pressure-test for strategic rigor and consistency before work is handed to the creative team.
  • Marketing Ops Responsibilities: May include making website copy edits in Webflow, marketing automation tasks in Hubspot, or assisting with ad hoc marketing team support.

What You Bring
  • 5+ years of Project Management experience in Marketing/Creative, preferably in a SaaS organization or agency environment, balancing initiatives across multiple teams/brands
  • Demonstrated ability to operate at both strategic and tactical levels, building and improving processes, proactively identifying gaps, and executing hands-on when needed
  • Strong project management and multi-tasking skills including developing timelines, milestones, status reporting, capacity planning, issue resolution, and process governance.
  • Customer-Centric Mindset: Demonstrate a positive, service-oriented approach when working with internal teams, ensuring timely and collaborative support that helps drive project success and fosters a constructive work environment.
  • Self-starter, with a strong drive and sense of intellectual curiosity; strong problem-solving and excellent communication skills.
  • Understanding of digital and traditional media channels including Web, Paid Social, SEM, Print and integrated marketing campaigns
  • Significant expertise using Asana; AI-forward mindset and automation experience with tools like ChatGPT; experience with Hubspot and Webflow is a plus.

The Fine Print (That Really Matters)
At PracticeTek, we determine compensation by considering market data, internal equity, and each candidate's skills and experience. For this position, we reasonably expect to pay between $95,000-$100,000. This role is also eligible for benefits, including health, dental, vision, paid time off, 401(k) with company match, and may be eligible for additional compensation such as bonuses or equity, as applicable.
