What is Proptech Marketing?

Proptech marketing refers to the strategies and activities used to promote property technology (proptech) products and services, which are designed to innovate and improve the real estate industry through technology. This includes marketing software platforms, digital tools, and tech-enabled services that help with buying, selling, managing, or investing in real estate. Proptech marketers use digital campaigns, content marketing, social media, and industry events to reach real estate professionals, property managers, investors, and tenants. The goal is to increase brand awareness, generate leads, and drive adoption of new technologies within the real estate sector.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in Proptech Marketing, and why are they important?

To excel in Proptech Marketing, strong skills in digital marketing, real estate knowledge, and data analysis are essential, often supported by a degree in marketing or business. Familiarity with CRM software, marketing automation tools, and property listing platforms is typically required. Creativity, adaptability, and excellent communication skills help professionals stand out in engaging target audiences and building partnerships. These competencies drive effective campaigns and foster growth in the rapidly evolving Proptech sector.

How does a Proptech Marketing professional typically collaborate with sales and product teams to ensure successful campaigns?

Proptech Marketing professionals work closely with both sales and product teams to align marketing strategies with the company's goals and customer needs. They often attend regular meetings with the product team to understand new features or updates and develop messaging that highlights these innovations. Collaboration with the sales team is crucial for gathering feedback from the field, refining target audiences, and creating materials that directly support sales efforts. This cross-functional teamwork ensures that marketing campaigns are both technically accurate and tailored to resonate with prospective clients in the real estate technology sector.

Job description

We are CREtelligent

What happens when you combine comprehensive property data sources, predictive analytics, cutting edge commercial real estate technology and a talented team ready to disrupt a multi-trillion-dollar industry? Put simply, you get CREtelligent.

We are innovators.

With a wide range of innovative end-to-end solutions, we are revolutionizing commercial real estate (CRE) due diligence to the financial, commercial real estate, and banking industries. Our PropTech solutions and services enable our clients to improve pull-through rates, collapse transaction cycle time, mitigate risk, and improve their customer’s experience during the commercial loan process.

Who We’re Looking For

Our growing team is looking for an experienced marketing leader to join us as our Director, Marketing. Reporting to the CEO, you will own our overall marketing strategy and lead the function across brand, demand generation, and pipeline growth. You will position RADIUS, our commercial real estate due diligence platform, along with our full suite of environmental, condition, land, and valuation due diligence solutions, to the lenders, investors, law firms, brokers, and developers we serve. You will partner closely with sales, product, and executive leadership to align marketing with company priorities, while building, leading, and developing a high-performing team.

As our Director, Marketing, you will partner across the business to set the strategic direction for marketing and lead our growth efforts, making high-impact decisions while overseeing multiple initiatives at once. You will translate company vision into a clear plan the team can rally behind and mentor the next generation of marketing leaders along the way. Above all, you will embody what CREtelligent stands for: collaboration & inclusion, customer success, integrity, and a results-driven, innovative culture.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Set and own the annual marketing strategy across both the enterprise (B2B) and self-serve (B2B2C) go-to-market approaches, and own the full marketing P&L.

  • Define, track, and grow marketing’s pipeline contribution.

  • Develop and grow strategic partnerships and marketing channels that drive business growth and strengthen the customer experience and lead the marketing narrative behind them.

  • Own and manage the CREtelligent and RADIUS brand and category positioning across the business, including our presence at industry conferences.

  • Hire, coach, and manage a lean team of senior operators and external vendors across product marketing, demand generation, content and community, and marketing operations and analytics.

  • Act as the primary link between sales, product, and marketing, and represent marketing in executive leadership meetings and cross-functional planning.

  • Partner with sales leadership on pipeline reviews, MQL and SQL reconciliation, and account-based programs for enterprise accounts.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of B2B marketing experience, including several years leading and building high-performing marketing teams.

  • A hands-on, player-coach leader who both sets strategy and executes directly (building campaigns, shaping messaging, and digging into the data), not just directing from the top.

  • Full-funnel breadth across brand, demand generation, content, product marketing, and marketing operations, with the ability to own the entire marketing function.

  • Proven track record of driving pipeline and revenue growth and reporting marketing's contribution to executive leadership.

  • Deep demand generation expertise across paid, SEO, email and lifecycle, events, and account-based marketing.

  • Strong command of the martech stack (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) and core marketing metrics: CAC, LTV, payback period, and MQL-to-SQL conversion.

  • Data-driven and analytical, with sound judgment on where to invest and how to measure impact.

  • Excellent communication and executive presence, and a strong cross-functional partner to sales, product, and leadership.

  • Experience marketing a platform along with individual products and services.

  • Experience in commercial real estate, proptech, or fintech is a plus but not required.

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA a plus.

Benefits

At CREtelligent, we believe that working hard and working fast doesn’t have to come at the expense of a healthy work-life balance. One of the greatest benefits of working at CREtelligent is that you will find yourself surrounded by incredible and intelligent people with a shared mission. On top of it all, we deliver the benefits you’d expect and beyond including:

  • We are a growing firm with a national footprint ready to support your career advancement. Your professional development and career progression is important to us, when you learn and grow, so do we.

The salary range shown above is a good-faith estimate of what CREtelligent reasonably expects to pay for this role at the time of hire.
