Job Description

The Product Marketing Managerย is responsibleย forย leading product marketing efforts for Alto-Shaam,ย developing and executing go-to-marketย and sustainmentย strategies that drive awareness, demand, and adoption of ourย products and systemย solutions.ย Asย aย productย expert andย champion, this roleย partnersย across theย businessย to developย solutions-basedย sales tools,ย training content, innovative marketingย strategiesย and creative campaigns.ย The product marketing manager equips our sales team and channel partners with information,ย dataย and tools to advanceย channel and e-commerce sales.ย This roleย balances strategy and execution with comprehensive plans and engaging storytelling.

The ideal candidate for an Product Marketing Manager would be able to do the following:ย 

  1. Team Leadership and Developmentย 
    • Mentor and leadย product marketing specialist(s),ย driving a culture of accountability, innovation, continuousย improvementย and excellence.ย 
    • Promote collaboration and effective communication within the marketing team and across the organization.ย 
    • Identifyย and provide training and development opportunities.ย 
  2. Marketing Strategyย 
    • Assistย in the development and execution of the global marketing strategic plan and annual department metrics that support profitable sales growth.ย 
    • Develop the marketing strategy forย eachย product line to drive profitable growth (demand generation, funnel acceleration,ย sales tool creation)ย from insightsย and cross-functional collaboration. Ensureย alignmentย with product management priorities and roadmap.ย 
    • Responsible for go-to-marketย planย and executionย forย new product launches and releases. Ensure cross-functional collaboration and partnership with technical publications and integrated marketing.ย 
  3. Product Marketingย 
    • Participate in cross-functional,ย new product developmentย (NPD)ย teams.ย ย 
    • Develop,ย manageย andย executeย product go-to-marketย plansย from concept through launch and beyondย in collaborationย inย product management, NPDย team,ย culinaryย and globalย salesย teams.ย 
    • Help toย captureย customer, channel, competitor, and consumer insightsย (Technomic)ย andย participateย inย market researchย to inform product development and marketing strategies.ย Leverage CRMย andย marketing automationย data in decision-making.ย Activelyย participateย in customer visits and Taste of Alto-Shaam events.ย Incorporate competitive analysis from engineering teardowns and product management input.ย ย 
    • Ownย productย brandingย andย messaging. Work in collaboration with product management onย unique value propositions andย product positioningย efforts.ย ย 
    • Manage global trademark strategy with outside attorneys.ย ย 
    • Work withย the integratedย marketingย teamย onย product,ย systemย and segmentย campaignย development. Define theย optimumย marketing mix (awareness, lead generation,ย nurturing) and activities (digital, website, SEO, PPC,ย e-mail, media, print, tradeshow, content marketing, etc.).ย 
    • Empower the sales team and channel withย high-quality, customer-focusedย tools, product communications,ย assets,ย and training materials (presentations, sell sheets, competitor comparisons,ย videos,ย etc),ย working closely withย marketing, technical publications,ย product management,ย culinary,ย globalย sales,ย and sales enablementย teams.ย 
    • Ensure all relevant internal and external partners haveย accurateย product information across channelsย (digital asset management system,ย catalogs, websites, e-commerce platforms, etc.).ย 
    • Partner withย globalย sales and key customers on unit placementsย and case study opportunities.ย ย 
    • Developย andย maintainย relationships withย reps andย key dealers, serving as a productย expert.ย ย 
Qualifications

For a candidate to be successful as a Product Marketing Manager they must have:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business or similar required.ย 

  • 7+ years of product marketingย management experience.ย
