Job description

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for an Account Manager Intern who is genuinely excited about a future in digital marketing - someone who sees this role as the first step toward a full-time career managing client accounts at a real agency.

The right candidate has the confidence to own their responsibilities, the professionalism to show up for clients, and the drive to grow into a Junior Account Manager managing a roster of accounts independently. If that sounds like you, keep reading.

The Role

As an Account Manager Intern, you'll be embedded in our agency's day-to-day operations - working alongside our team to support client accounts, learn our systems, and develop the skills that make a great AM. You'll be trained and mentored, but we expect you to show up ready to contribute, ask smart questions, and take initiative.

This role is intentionally broad. Digital marketing agencies require people who can shift gears quickly, and this internship will reflect that reality. You don't need experience in everything - just a positive attitude and work ethic to learn it.

What You'll DoClient & Account Support
  • Join client calls as a backup, notetaker, and observer
  • Help maintain organized client documentation, notes, and project files
  • Support onboarding processes for new clients and projects
Operations & Quality Control
  • Proofread internal and client-facing documents with a sharp eye for detail
  • Review automations, websites, and workflows to ensure quality and flag issues
  • Create and manage tasks to keep projects on track
  • Clean up and maintain shared folders, client files, and internal resources
Tracking & Performance
  • Assist with lead tracking and lead quality reviews
  • Support basic reporting and performance documentation
  • Help maintain internal hubs and system documentation
Growth & Exposure
  • Get hands-on exposure to SEO, PPC, Web Maintenance, Graphic Design, and other digital marketing disciplines
  • Learn the tools, workflows, and communication styles of a high-functioning account team
  • Work toward being trusted with greater responsibility over time
What We're Looking For

We're not just looking for someone who can follow instructions. We need someone who:

  • Is a confident communicator
  • Has genuine interest in account management and a desire to grow into a full-time AM role
  • Demonstrates leadership qualities: takes ownership, follows through, and doesn't wait to be told what to do next
  • Is a problem-solver who approaches challenges with a solution-first mindset
  • Can manage their own time and workload after proper training
  • Is flexible and adaptable - agency work is fast-moving and no two days are the same
  • Has strong attention to detail and takes pride in delivering quality work
  • Is comfortable with Google Drive, email, and basic digital tools
Logistics

Location: In-Person

Time Commitment: Minimum 10 hours per week

Schedule: Monday - Thursday, flexible hours between 9:00am - 5:00pm

Compensation: Based on experience, skill set, and the impact you're positioned to make within our team

What You'll Gain
  • Hands-on experience running real accounts at a real agency
  • Mentorship from experienced account managers who are invested in your growth
  • Exposure to the full digital marketing stack: SEO, PPC, design, client communications, reporting, and more
  • Professional skills - in client management, communication, and operations - that will set you apart in any marketing career
