Vaco is actively seeking a Marketing Data Platforms Manager for a direct-hire opportunity supporting a nationally respected, technically focused, and growing financial organization. Position Summary As a strategic technical member of the Marketing organization, this role leads a 4 person Data Science & Analysis team responsible for enabling data-driven marketing execution across the enterprise. The Marketing Data Platforms Manager operates at the intersection of data architecture, marketing technology, and campaign delivery to ensure scalable, high-quality data insights that power customer engagement across multiple finance and banking verticals.

This is a leadership-first role focused on team direction, platform ownership, and strategic execution rather than exclusively hands-on development. The position also serves as Product Owner for key enterprise platforms including Salesforce Data Cloud and Master Data Management (MDM). Key Responsibilities: Lead, mentor, and manage a team supporting marketing campaign execution and data enablement.

Serve as product owner for Salesforce Data Cloud and enterprise MDM (Informatica), including roadmap ownership and prioritization. Partner with Analytics, Integrated Marketing, and Brand Strategy to define audience segmentation, activation strategies, and measurement frameworks. Drive requirements and support execution of MDM transformation initiatives, including migration from legacy to cloud-based platforms.

Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across systems and data sources. Identify process gaps and implement improvements to enhance efficiency, scalability, and data quality. Support end-to-end data enablement across the marketing technology stack, from ingestion and transformation to activation.

Ensure adherence to data governance, privacy, and consent requirements. Lead cross-functional stakeholder engagement and influence both technical and business teams. Translate complex data concepts into clear, actionable business insights.

Operate at a strategic level while maintaining close oversight of execution and development. Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years experience leading data engineering, data enablement, or analytics teams in a marketing or production environment. Proven ability to manage distributed teams and senior individual contributors.

Strong understanding of data architecture, pipelines, and integration across complex ecosystems. Experience with enterprise data platforms including SQL, Databricks, and cloud-based environments. Working knowledge of Salesforce ecosystem including Data Cloud, CRM, and Marketing Cloud.

Demonstrated experience with ETL tools (Alteryx or comparable). Experience with Master Data Management solutions, preferably Informatica. Exposure to CDPs and modern marketing data platforms.

Prior experience owning or contributing to platform or product roadmaps. Strong stakeholder management, communication, and prioritization skills. Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.

Experience in financial services (retail, digital, commercial, or related) preferred. Background in data architecture, MDM implementations or migrations, or tools such as Dataiku or Salesforce Loyalty Cloud preferred.
