Job description

Job Summary:
Activision is a leading worldwide developer, publisher, and distributor of interactive entertainment and products. As a Senior Quality Assurance Project Lead, you will partner closely with QA leadership, Production, and Development teams to ensure best-in-class quality practices across assigned projects, driving consistency and efficiency throughout the QA lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
• Support QA Project Leads throughout the Quality Assurance process from planning through project completion
• Create or oversee the creation of comprehensive test plans and test strategies
• Manage and track project budgets to ensure projects remain on or under budget
• Ensure all QA project documentation is accurate, complete, and up to date
• Generate and review project status reports and QA metrics
• Review the quality and accuracy of game-related documentation and test cases, adapting them as game changes occur
• Contribute to the creation and continuous improvement of QA documentation, tools, and policies
• Collaborate with QA Project Leads and Production to identify low-impact bugs that will not be fixed due to risk or limited value
• Ensure clear, consistent, and professional communication between QA, Production, and Development teams
• Escalate risks, issues, and concerns to the QA Manager as needed
• Step in as QA Project Lead when required, leading projects from pre-Alpha through final submission
Qualifications:
Required:
• 3+ years of experience within the Activision QA Department or a comparable Quality Assurance organization
• Prior experience in a QA leadership role, such as QA Project Lead
• Demonstrated experience managing QA efforts across multiple projects
• Proficiency with DevTrack, Jira, or similar defect tracking and project management tools
• Strong understanding of game testing methodologies and bug identification/reporting
• Solid knowledge of console platforms, related peripherals, and PC hardware/software
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Strong leadership and team coordination skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively under pressure
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred:
• Experience participating in hiring and interviewing for QA roles
• Budget management experience within QA or production environments
• Experience developing or improving QA processes, tools, or policies
• Familiarity with financial planning concepts such as AOP and P&L considerations
• Passion for video games and commitment to delivering high-quality player experiences
• Strong mentoring mindset with the ability to develop and inspire others
