Location: Hoboken, NJ

Earlier this year (March 2026), Unilever announced an agreement to separate our Foods business. Our Foods business, including brands such as Hellmann's and Knorr, will join forces with McCormick to become a global flavour leader, with leading positions across spices, seasonings, condiments and complementary food categories, supported by a strong retail and foodservice platform. McCormick has 135+ years of heritage, a presence in 150+ countries and territories, and a portfolio of trusted brands. The transaction remains subject to consultation, regulatory approvals and other customary closing conditions with a targeted deal close of mid-2027.

JOB PURPOSE:
Hellmann's/BestFoods is an iconic brand in the US, present in 1 out of every 2 households, leading the mayonnaise category (4x the next largest competitor) and occupying a leadership role in creating category value for customers. This Brand Manager - Innovation is responsible for leading the most strategic, big bet innovation platforms for the brand; this includes multi-year core brand initiatives, creating solutions that build future occasions and uses, and transforming the HBF portfolio for the next generation of condiments consumers. Reporting directly to the Head of Condiments US, this individual will be responsible for developing world class and industry leading innovation resulting in significant business growth. This role is big, highly strategic, visible and important to the delivery of results for US and Global Foods; we need someone who is passionate, driven and an absolute Foodie.
This job presents plenty of scope for brand and portfolio strategy, product development, team stewardship, cross-functional leadership plus lots of creativity. The ideal candidate would be visionary, knowledgeable about food, passionate about product superiority and chefmanship, consumer centric, and who can also manage multiple priorities, with both a strong marketing and analytical mindset. If you thrive on leading, creating and delivering big strategic innovations and technology breakthroughs, this will be a very rewarding experience. The role is supported by one direct report.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead the strategic and big bet platform innovation for Hellmann's/Bestfoods
Partner with BG counterparts in developing market-making projects, advocating for US market needs and supporting as a lead design market
Support HBF portfolio strategy, identifying consumer insights to inform new product development opportunities and future portfolio architecture
Developing compelling sell stories that drive excitement and buy-in internally, as well as contributing to storytelling for (and presenting to) external customers
Lead the cross-functional team, setting clear priorities and objectives, driving accountability and ultimately responsibility for delivering projects on-time-in-full
Co-lead resource allocation and project prioritization across the HBF innovation team
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
BA (MBA a plus) with 6+ years' experience in Brand Marketing or Creative/Digital/PR Agency
Passion for food and innovation. Competitive drive and hustle, rooted in food culture.
Consumer centric thinker, passionate about consumer trends, insights and product quality
Exceptional analytics, passionate about finding insights in data and defaulting to fact-based decision making
Demonstrates fluidity in the balance of art & science - thinks differently and seeks out the magic, yet maintains a pragmatic business mindset
Growth mindset paired with creative problem solving to both leverage models that work but also ask "why" and find opportunities to work differently
Strong communication skills, including setting clear direction and project management among teams, as well as storytelling (visual and verbal) to effectively advance the strategic agenda

Pay: The pay range for this position is $103,000 to $154,400. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.

Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.

Long-Term Incentive (LTI): This position is LTI eligible.
