    Position Overview:

    The Washington Capitals Marketing Assistant is responsible for supporting day-to-day operations for the Marketing department. This position will focus on leading fan development initiatives, promotions and revenue marketing, grassroots marketing efforts, events and community programs. The assistant will focus on driving fan engagement and driving revenue through existing programs and developing new ones.

    Responsibilities:
    • Oversee Capitals Kids, Canines, and Baby Caps Clubs
    • Engage and brainstorm with game day planning, including giveaway items, theme nights, fan activations, and pre and post-game events.
    • Assist in planning and execution of off-season experiential event activations.
    • Contribute to the overall strategies and planning of community relations programs and NHL League Platforms.
    • Collaborate cross functionally with game presentation, public relations, and digital teams on storytelling, amplification, and media engagement for theme night and programs.
    • Support media day and other events and brainstorm unique ways to help build brand through content capture.
    • Build PowerPoint presentations for business meetings and create monthly executive report.
    • Ideate ways to build revenue-generating platforms through partnerships activations.
    • Other duties as assigned.
    Minimum Qualifications:
    • Bachelors Degree or in progress of earning a degree
    • Highly organized, resourceful, and dependable.
    • Outstanding interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
    • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus, but not required (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.)
    • Excellent project management and organizational skills, able to balance multiple vendors, agencies and other groups at once.
    • Ambitious nature and positive demeanor.
    • Flexibility to work 25 hours/week from August through May including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
    Pay Range: $20.00 - $22.00 USD/hour
