Job description

Location: Remote (United States)
Work Model: Remote
Industry: AI recruiting and talent marketplace (B2B SaaS)
Compensation: $20-$35 per hour
About the Company
TalentPluto is a Y Combinator-backed startup building the hiring stack for high-growth companies. We run two connected products: a talent network that places engineering, go-to-market, and operations people into fast-moving startups, and an AI recruiting tool that lets a hiring team run candidate search, tiered enrichment, rubric-based scoring, and outbound campaigns directly from their assistant. We work with dozens of venture-backed startups across AI, developer tools, fintech, and healthcare. The team is small and founder-led, and interns work on live problems rather than practice ones.
The Opportunity
This is a marketing analyst internship that sits between the data and the decision. We generate a lot of signal across outbound, inbound, content, and the product itself, and most of it goes unread. Your job is to find the pattern in it, explain what it means in plain language, and then help act on it. The analysis is only half the role: the other half is that someone changes what they do because of what you found.
You will work close to the growth function at an early-stage company, which means the questions are open rather than assigned. Expect to spend time in spreadsheets, to have to define a metric before you can report it, and to write up what you learned so it survives past the week you learned it.
Responsibilities
  • Pull, clean, and analyze data across marketing, outbound, and product usage.
  • Identify patterns and anomalies, and explain what is causing them in plain language.
  • Build and maintain simple reporting that the team actually reads and uses.
  • Define and document metrics so numbers mean the same thing week to week.
  • Turn findings into concrete recommendations, and help implement the ones that get picked up.
Requirements
  • Comfort with spreadsheets and basic data analysis.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to spot patterns in data.
  • Clear written communication, including explaining an insight simply to a non-analyst.
  • Interest in marketing, growth, analytics, startups, recruiting, or AI products.
  • Organized and comfortable working across several projects at once.
  • Self-directed and comfortable working in a remote startup environment.
