Senior Market Research Analyst (AS) - Hybrid
Campbell Marketing & Communications is a dynamic and fast-paced agency specializing in public relations, communications, social media, marketing and event management. General Summary
We are looking for a curious and data-driven Senior Market Research Analyst to help build upon our industry knowledge. This person will help us explore the specific industry standards and landscape, target audience, and competitive positioning. In this role, you will design and execute research studies, analyze consumer behavior, and track market trends to guide our customer experiences and marketing strategies. The ideal candidate is adept at blending quantitative data with qualitative insights to tell a compelling story about what our clients may need and what their customers want and where the specific market is heading.
This person must enjoy learning about different industries and clients. Knowledge about customer experiences and the automotive industry is a plus.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
  • Survey & Study Design: Design, build, and deploy quantitative surveys and qualitative research initiatives (e.g., focus groups, customer interviews) to gather consumer feedback.
  • Consumer Insights: Analyze customer preferences, demographics, and buying habits to identify target audiences and map the customer journey.
  • Competitor Analysis: Monitor competitor activities, pricing strategies, marketing campaigns, and product launches to benchmark our market position and identify strategic gaps.
  • Campaign & Consumer Experience Evaluation: Collaborate with the marketing and event teams to test new concepts, assess brand awareness, and measure the ROI of marketing campaigns.
  • Data Synthesis: Clean and analyze both small and large datasets from multiple sources (e.g., CRM, web analytics, third-party industry reports, and primary research data) to find actionable trends.
  • Reporting: Translate data sets into easy-to-understand reports, presentations, and visual dashboards for cross-functional teams and executive leadership.
  • Presentation Skills: The ability to present research results beyond the numbers to all levels within an organization in partnership with account teams.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Market Research, Marketing, Business, Psychology, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3-7 years of direct experience in market research, consumer insights, or marketing analytics.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Hands-on experience with survey platforms (e.g., Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey, Decipher, etc.).
    • Familiarity with web analytics and marketing tools (e.g., Google Analytics, HubSpot, Adobe Analytics).
    • Proficiency in data visualization software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and advanced Excel.
    • Knowledge of statistical analysis software (e.g., SPSS, R, Python) is preferred.
    • Ability to create visual and meaningful executive reports.
  • Research Methodologies: Strong understanding of both qualitative and quantitative research methods.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional storytelling ability; capable of explaining why the data matters and what the business should do next.

Additional Information
  • The company is currently working on a hybrid basis; Dearborn, MI -three (3) days onsite and remaining days remote-though this position may require more than three days onsite some weeks.

  • Salary range starts at: $61,072.00 - annually. Negotiable, based on experience.
  • Will require some travel (6-8 events annually), including weekend and evening hours.
  • Work environment: May also require some physical activities such as standing and/or walking for extended periods of time and the ability to lift supplies up to 35lbs.
