Job description

Pay: $15 / hour, plus shift premium ($2/hour on second shift and $1.50/hour on third shift). Amount is not inclusive of total compensation package.

Purpose of the Job
This manufacturing organization is seeking Manufacturing Team Members to support production operations across multiple departments. This entry-level role provides opportunities to develop manufacturing skills while contributing to the production of high-quality metal components. Team members will work in a fast-paced environment focused on safety, quality, and efficiency.

Essential Job Responsibilities
  • Lift and position workpieces manually and secure them in fixtures or automatic feeding devices.
  • Perform production and assembly of parts in accordance with standardized work and quality standards.
  • Assemble components accurately and efficiently while maintaining consistent product quality.
  • Inspect work and identify issues related to welding, milling, pressing, or assembly processes.
  • Pack finished parts into containers according to packaging standards.
  • Replace worn machine accessories such as weld tips when necessary.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and follow all safety policies and procedures.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives such as 5S and lean manufacturing standards.
  • Cross-train and assist in other production areas as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as directed by the supervisor to support production operations.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous manufacturing or assembly experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to follow written, verbal, and diagram-based instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.

Physical Requirements
  • Regularly stand, walk, and use hands to handle materials and operate equipment.
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment
  • Manufacturing environment with moving mechanical parts.
  • Exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and loud noise levels may occur.
  • Hearing protection and safety glasses are required and provided.
  • Steel-toe safety shoes or boots are required.

Shift Schedule
1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM
2nd Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
3rd Shift: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM

Monday – Friday with occasional overtime, including weekends as needed.
