La personne responsable de la production pilote l'ensemble les operations de production de l'usine. Ce role convient parfaitement a une personne rigoureuse, organisee et autonome. Le role est egalement responsable de promouvoir l'excellence operationnelle dans tous les aspects de la production. Il dirige, coordonne et supervise les operations quotidiennes tout en co-pilotant la securite, la production, la maintenance, la qualite, l'amelioration continue, les relations clients et l'engagement des collaborateurs.

Responsabilites principales 

  • Diriger et coordonner les operations quotidiennes de production.
  • Assurer le suivi quotidien des KPI et prendre les mesures correctives necessaires pour atteindre les objectifs dans les delais impartis et pour identifier et prioriser les opportunites d'amelioration.
  • Encadrer, former et evaluer l'equipe de production afin de developper une culture d'amelioration continue et de haute performance.
  • Assurer le respect des reglementations en matiere de sante, securite et environnement (SST) dans tous les processus de production.
  • En collaboration avec le departement de la qualite, mettre en uvre et maintenir des systemes de controle de la qualite garantissant la conformite des produits aux normes internes et industrielles.
  • Travailler avec les equipes d'ingenierie sur les projets de demenagement, d'installation et de mise en service des machines, en garantissant la conformite aux specifications et la formation des operateurs.
  • Assurer une communication claire, structuree et efficace aupres de l'ensemble du personnel de production et de l'equipe de direction.

Profil recherche

  • Minimum de 5 ans d'experience en gestion dans un environnement manufacturier
  • Experience en gestion dans le domaine du verre (un atout)
  • Diplome d'etudes universitaires en gestion, genie mecanique ou industriel sera considere comme un atout
  • Bonne connaissance des concepts du systeme de production (TPS), tels que l'organisation du travail (5S) et l'analyse des causes racines
  • Comprehension des principes de planification de la production : capacite a planifier, allouer les ressources, gerer la production et coordonner les equipes et les equipements
  • Excellentes aptitudes en communication, en resolution de problemes et en prise de decision
  • Experience en gestion d'equipe en milieu manufacturier syndique
  • Maitrise avancee de Microsoft Office, notamment Excel.
  • Bonne connaissance de l'anglais (oral et ecrit), plusieurs interactions en anglais avec le siege social et collaborateurs internationaux.

The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing all plant production operations. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, organized, and self-driven individual. This is an excellent opportunity to build a career with an industry leader.

The role is also responsible for driving operational excellence across all aspects of production. They lead, coordinate, and supervise daily operations while co-leading safety, production, maintenance, quality, continuous improvement, customer relations, and employee engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate daily production operations
  • Monitor KPIs daily and implement corrective actions to meet targets within deadlines, while identifying and prioritizing improvement opportunities
  • Coach, train, and evaluate the production team to foster a culture of continuous improvement and high performance
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations across all production processes
  • In collaboration with the Quality department, implement and maintain quality control systems to ensure products meet internal and industry standards
  • Work with engineering teams on relocation, installation, and commissioning projects, ensuring compliance with specifications and proper operator training
  • Ensure clear, structured, and effective communication with all production staff and the leadership team

What We Are Looking For

  • Minimum of 5 years of management experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in the glass industry (an asset)
  • University degree in management, mechanical engineering, or industrial engineering is considered an asset
  • Strong knowledge of production system concepts (TPS), such as workplace organization (5S) and root cause analysis
  • Understanding of production planning principles, including the ability to plan, allocate resources, manage production, and coordinate teams and equipment
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Experience managing teams in a unionized manufacturing environment
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • French is required- Daily operations are conducted in French; English is necessary for regular interactions with head office and international colleagues only.
