The Manufacturing Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating shop floor operations to ensure accurate, high-quality, and on-time delivery in alignment with customer purchase order requirements. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

  • Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Production Floor within specific areas of responsibility (i.e. machine shop, gear shop, and assembly).
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the companyโ€™s policies and procedures including interviewing, hiring, training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Studies production schedules and estimates employee hour requirements for completion of job assignment.
  • Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders for employees and assigns duties.
  • Establishes or adjusts work schedules to meet production requirements and maintains time card records and recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
  • Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew as well as analyzes and resolves work problems or assist employees in solving work problems.
  • Ensures ongoing improvements are attained for product quality and overall business unit growth, and investigates and resolves causes of inefficiencies and manufacturing variances.
  • Meets established standards for productivity and quality.ย  Confers with Manager when problems arise which impact expected level of performance.
  • Responsible for supporting and ensuring compliance to ISO 9001/AS9100 Quality Management Systems.
  • Leads, coaches, develops team while fostering a culture of respect, teamwork, engagement, and continuous improvement.
  • Performs any task required to support customer requirements and company goals.

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND ABILITIES
  • Ability to read, interpret, maintenance instructions, work orders, engineering specifications, aerospace blueprints, technical drawings, and procedure manuals.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate expectations, provide feedback, prepare reports, and interact professionally with employees, leadership, and cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to interpret and execute instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or electronic form while effectively prioritizing multiple tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Must regularly lift and/or mover up to 10 pounds and frequently lift and /or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to sit or stand for at least 10 hours a day.
  • Must be able to bend, squat, kneel, and reach out or above shoulders.

  • 5+ years of machinist experience, preferably in an aerospace environment.
  • 7+ years of leading a team in a manufacturing environment
