Description
We are seeking a Blox is seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Manager of Materials Planning & Inventory Control to ensure the uninterrupted flow of materials across manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for leading materials planning, Kanban systems, inventory accuracy, and data integrity while driving efficiency, reducing waste, and improving overall supply chain performance.
Requirements
Job Responsibilities
  • Lead and optimize materials planning and inventory control processes across production
  • Oversee Kanban systems, including development, maintenance, and performance improvement
  • Manage replenishment strategies, including safety stock, reorder points, and demand alignment
  • Ensure uninterrupted material flow to support production schedules and operational needs
  • Conduct root cause analysis on material shortages, overstock, and inventory variances
  • Own cycle count programs and ensure inventory accuracy and reconciliation
  • Maintain and improve ERP master data integrity, including item setup and planning parameters
  • Collaborate with production, warehouse, and procurement teams to align material demand and supply
  • Analyze BOMs and production requirements to anticipate material risks and changes
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste, improve flow, and increase efficiency
  • Support development of PFEP (Plan for Every Part) and optimize line-side material presentation
  • Track and report KPIs including inventory accuracy, inventory turns, and stockout frequency
  • Lead, mentor, and develop materials planning team members
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration to improve supply chain performance and execution

Job Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5-8+ years of experience in materials planning, inventory control, or supply chain operations
  • 2-3+ years of leadership or supervisory experience
  • Strong experience with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central preferred)
  • Proven experience with Kanban or pull-based replenishment systems
  • Experience with cycle counting, inventory reconciliation, and root cause analysis
  • Strong understanding of BOMs, item master data, and planning parameters
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools
  • Strong understanding of inventory management principles (Kanban, safety stock, reorder points)
  • Ability to interpret and manage ERP data structures and reporting
  • Experience in manufacturing, modular construction, or industrial environments preferred
  • Strong communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills
