Job description

Standard Job Description Manages more than one functional area of manufacturing, such as machining, assembly, tool and die, packaging. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Lockheed Martin is seeking a Weekend Manufacturing Supervisor for a position in Troy, AL.

This role reports to the Production Operations Manager and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of a work group, ensuring high-quality products, excellent performance, and on-time delivery. All functions and job duties assigned to the Weekend Manufacturing Supervisor, include, but are not limited to: Daily supervision of a team Planning and assigning work to teammates Coordination of activities to increase throughput and reduce inefficiencies Ensuring all teammates are adequately trained and prepared for work Tracking performance metrics, attendance, throughput, and standards Building effective relationships Ensuring a safe and inclusive workplace Working with ESH to ensure that safety and environmental policies and procedures are followed Assisting in the development of strategies to increase throughput and reduce inefficiencies Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience/combined education. Must obtain an interim clearance prior to starting and have the ability to obtain a secret clearance.

Working Knowledge of MS Office Software and Systems. Proven ability to manage cost, quality, and schedule metrics. Experience managing hourly performance, assignments, training, labor records, and overtime schedules Must be able to perform in a team and customer-focused work environment, maintaining effective communication with internal / external customers.

**Candidate must be able to pass a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives ("ATF") background check to obtain approval to be an "employee possessor" (of explosives or other ATF-regulated items) as defined by ATF regulations. Failure to obtain and retain employee possessor status may result in revocation of an offer and loss of employment. Desired Skills Six or more years of related experience Manufacturing and/or defense industry experience Ability to provide Leadership and obtain Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt Certification Working knowledge and previous experience managing cost, quality, and schedule metrics Supervisory experience Ability to maintain good employee relations within a team.

Excellent oral, active listening, written communications skills and team building skills Knowledge of root cause analysis methodologies and demonstrated experience in the development and evaluation of effective preventive/corrective action plans. For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
