Job description

Job Title: Machine Operator
Job Description

We are seeking a Machine Operator to join our production team. In this role, you will operate cable manufacturing machinery at required speeds, ensure proper setup, and maintain specified tolerances. You will be responsible for completing required tests on cable products, performing general departmental tasks—including safety, housekeeping, and documentation—and supporting operations by assisting on other cable lines or performing additional tasks as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate cable machines safely, efficiently, and in accordance with production requirements.
  • Maintain required tolerances and monitor equipment performance throughout production runs.
  • Perform cable testing and verify product quality according to established procedures.
  • Follow production plans, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
  • Assist other cable lines and perform cross-functional tasks as needed.
  • Support departmental activities including housekeeping, organization, and adherence to safety standards.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, job instructions, and equipment manuals.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding production status or issues.
Essential Skills
  • Experience operating industrial manual machinery.
  • Ability to perform basic measurements and math.
  • Comfortable with laborious work and heavy lifting.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
