Job description

Connect Staffing is hiring a Machine Operator for a pipe manufacturing company in Stanton, CA. This is a temp-to-hire position paying $17/hr. In this role, you will set up and operate pipe manufacturing machinery — selecting and installing tools, dies, and fixtures — and load steel coils into equipment to keep production running. This schedule runs Monday through Saturday with consistent hours.


Pay: $17/hr

Schedule: Mon–Thu 7AM–5:30PM, Fri 7AM–3:30PM, Sat 7AM–12PM

Location: Stanton, CA

Job Type: Temp-to-Hire

Primary workplace language(s): English

Work Environment: Manufacturing Plant / Factory

Overtime: Required if needed.


Responsibilities


  • Set up pipe manufacturing machinery by selecting and installing the correct tools, dies, and fixtures according to production specifications.
  • Load steel coils and other raw materials into machinery and manage material flow through the production process.
  • Move finished pipes using appropriate lifting equipment and assist with material handling tasks throughout the facility.
  • Inspect machinery and materials for defects or irregularities and report issues to a supervisor.
  • Keep work area clean and organized and follow all PPE and safety requirements at all times.


Minimum Requirements


  • Minimum 6 months of experience in general labor, machine operation, or a production/manufacturing environment.


Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience operating machinery in a metal fabrication, pipe, or steel manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with reading production specifications or work orders.
  • Experience handling heavy raw materials such as steel coils or spools.
  • Background in welding, metal forming, or tube/pipe processing.
  • Ability to use basic hand tools and mechanical fixtures to set up production equipment.

Pre-Employment Requirements


  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally and up to 25 lbs. frequently.

  • Steel toe boots required (employee-provided).
  • Must pass a drug screen.
  • Must pass a background check.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (E-Verify).
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English.
