Warehouse Associate


Summary

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for fulfilling and processing orders, accepting incoming shipment and ensuring general organization of the warehouse. This position reports to the Warehouse Manager.


Responsibilities/ Duties

  • Receives trucks and unloads/loads materials in a timely and safe manner.
  • Fulfills customer orders.
  • Packs and prepares orders for delivery and/or shipping.
  • Sorts and restocks supplies and inventory.
  • Reports defective or damaged items to management.
  • Maintains the organization and cleanliness of the warehouse areas.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.


Required Skills/ Abilities

  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to anticipate needs and interact professionally with co-workers and customers
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong multi-tasking skills


Education and Experience

  • 1-year minimum experience in a warehouse associate/clerk role
  • Forklift certification required
  • Construction, manufacturing experience preferred


Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of walking, standing
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment and machinery including forklift
  • Ability to withstand working in extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, periodic wind/rain)
  • Physical mobility to walk, climb stairs, push and pull file drawers, and stand for periods of time
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
