Job description

American Battery Technology Company (ABTC) provides technical development and commercialization of domestic, sustainable sourcing of critical battery materials through lithium-ion battery recycling and battery metal extraction technologies for use in batteries that power electric cars, grid storage applications, and consumer electronics and tools. Our first of kind systems produce commercial-scale battery materials that are sold into the battery manufacturing supply chain.

This Production Associate supports production on the shop floor by operating and troubleshooting multiple pieces of ancillary equipment and machines. Production Associates assist in housekeeping and material transport as well. Associates monitor and respond to machine alarms, engaging in basic troubleshooting and repairs. Associates perform quality checks as well and work in a fast-paced team environment. This position will report to the Production Supervisor.

Requirements

  • Prepare battery feedstock for the daily production run.
  • Supply product to the line as part of the infeed process.
  • Pack the finished product into appropriate packaging and applicable pallet configuration.
  • Check the finished product meets customer requirements.
  • Complete physical tasks as directed, including but not limited to pushing, pulling, gripping, twisting, reaching, etc.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Other duties as required and assigned.
Qualifications
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., unassisted
  • Must have a strong command of the English language, both written and verbal.
  • Punctuality and a professional, can-do attitude are a must
  • Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions for specialized equipment
  • Escalate technical problems to the appropriate support groups and leaders
  • Follow safety guidelines and manufacturing instructions
  • Evaluate the assembly processes and equipment to look for continuous improvement opportunities
  • Complete other duties as assigned/support cross-functional teams
Physical Demands
  • Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
  • Ability to walk throughout the plant.
  • Ability to bend at the waist.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to wear PPE, which includes but is not limited to the following: eye and face protection, hearing protection, respirators, and protective shoes and shoe coverings.
  • Must have 20/20 or corrected vision.
  • Ability to perform repetitive duties.
  • Ability to work in environments that may include exposure to noise, dust, and chemicals for extended periods.

Expected Pay Range

$20/hr - $25/hr
