Job Summary

Standard Schedule: 6:30AM -4:00 PM (Monday-Thursday) 

 

Performs broad scale operational duties in Manufacturing and Distribution environments.  Inspects; packages; assembles and processes a variety of manufacturing related materials, and products to established specifications.  Employees may have limited exposure to overall departmental processes and equipment.   

Essential Job Functions *

 

  • Inspects products, assemblies or machines to ensure that they meet requirements and removes non-conforming materials from process.
  • Uses measuring devices, functional gages and a variety of basic hand tools to perform work and evaluate quality.
  • Maintains a clean and organized 5S work environment, and uses available resources responsibly to accomplish jobs without waste.
  • Operates basic material handling equipment up to forklifts; stocks, wraps, packages and organizes materials as required. 
  • Meets or exceeds daily productivity targets for process/equipment. 
  • Processes a variety of manufacturing and distribution related materials, and products to established specifications.
  • Accurately completes a variety of departmental paperwork and ensures that equipment logs are maintained.  
  • Reports inconsistencies (i.e. inventory, process) and operating barriers to lead or supervisor when discrepancies are found.
  • Demonstrates understanding of area requirements and serves as a resource to team. 
  • Participates in cross-training and works in other functional areas based on department needs.

Education & Experience

 

·       High School diploma or GED equivalent is required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.·       One to five years assembly experience preferred.
  • Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail required.
  • Must demonstrate ability to work from verbal and written instructions.
  • Works effectively as a member of a team to meet production goals.
  • Uses Windows, ERP and in house computer systems as required.
  • Completes ERP Inventory transactions, analysis and corrections as required.
  • Sets up and makes minor adjustments to processes and equipment.
  • Forklift certification may be required.
