Job description


Our client, a world leader in biotechnology and life sciences, is looking for a "Histology Associate".
Location: Tucson, AZ
Job Duration: Long-Term Contract (Possibility Of Extension)
Rate: $25-$27/hr on W2
Company Benefits: Medical, Paid Sick Leave, 401 (k)
Job Summary:
In this role, you will be supporting a Quality Assurance Histology Laboratory by preparing biological tissue specimens for downstream histology processing.
This is an excellent opportunity for entry-level candidates interested in laboratory operations. Histology experience is preferred but not required, as comprehensive training will be provided.
Responsibilities
  • Inspect and organize incoming tissue samples
  • Perform tissue embedding using paraffin wax
  • Prepare tissue blocks for histology sectioning
  • Handle biological specimens following QA procedures
  • Operate histology embedding equipment
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma, Associate, or Bachelor's Degree
  • 0-5 years of laboratory experience
  • Histology experience preferred but not required
  • Clinical laboratory, phlebotomy, microbiology, or specimen processing experience is highly preferred
  • Comfortable performing repetitive laboratory tasks
