Job DetailsKey Responsibilities and Duties
  • Lead and develop the contract manufacturing team.
  • Manage relationships and ongoing operations across a network of contract manufacturers.
  • Oversee the inbound supply of finished goods and optimize enterprise inventory levels.
  • Monitor inventory positions, sales trends, and forecast changes to anticipate supply-plan adjustments.
  • Monitor and expedite production schedules based on changing demand and inventory requirements.
  • Plan production requirements across multiple manufacturing partners using forecasts and inventory targets.
  • Own product-launch timelines from formulation lock through final quality release.
  • Serve as a key supply chain contributor during cross-functional product-launch meetings.
  • Partner with Procurement, Product Development, Quality, and contract manufacturers to achieve launch timelines and cost targets.
  • Evaluate contract manufacturer pricing for existing and new products.
  • Track and communicate product-pricing variability.
  • Analyze forecast accuracy and adjust production plans accordingly.
  • Own reporting related to contract manufacturer performance.
  • Lead weekly operational calls with key manufacturing partners.
  • Monitor at-risk and short-dated inventory to prevent out-of-stocks and reduce write-offs.
  • Improve the vendor scorecard and performance-review process.
  • Lead recurring vendor performance discussions.
  • Support transitions from existing contract manufacturers to new partners or internal manufacturing operations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for supply chain questions involving contract manufacturers.
  • Troubleshoot supply, production, inventory, pricing, and launch-related issues.
Qualifications - Needed
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in production planning, demand planning, supply planning, production management, contract manufacturing, or a similar role.
  • Experience managing production and supply requirements across multiple contract manufacturers.
  • Experience supporting food, beverage, dietary supplement, nutraceutical, or related consumer-product manufacturing.
  • Strong background in inventory planning, demand forecasting, production scheduling, and finished-goods supply.
  • Experience managing new-product launches from formulation lock through manufacturing and quality release.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Procurement, Product Development, Quality, Operations, and external manufacturing partners.
  • Ability to evaluate manufacturing costs, vendor pricing, and pricing variances.
  • Experience creating and managing supplier scorecards and contract manufacturer performance reports.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, IF formulas, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis.
  • Proven ability to identify inventory risks, prevent out-of-stocks, and reduce obsolete or short-dated inventory.
  • Proven ability to manage manufacturing transitions between external suppliers or from external to internal production.
  • Willingness to work in a hands-on capacity within a rapidly changing growth environment.
