Volt is immediately hiring for a Manufacturing Assembler in Winooski, Vermont 

As a Manufacturing Assembler you will be responsible for performing a variety of support duties within the manufacturing environment. Work activities are focused on one or more areas of manufacturing operations support:

  • Materials handling - involving physical and administrative tasks related to shipping, receiving, storing and distributing materials, parts, supplies and equipment
  • Production - including assembling, filling, measuring, mixing, testing and verifying performance in the manufacture of  products.
  • Test and repair - involving routine testing of assemblies and finished products, including interpretation of results and routine repairs.
  • Quality - involving inspections of raw materials and in-process and/or finished products to ensure compliance with quality and reliability standards.
  • Documentation - Prepares and maintains applicable records and documentation. May enter data into or access information in enterprise resource planning (ERP) system.

Requirements for Manufacturing Assembler:

  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Familiarity with Microsoft office
  • Assembly experience with mechanical prints and bills of materials
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Dependability and availability for a variety of tasks and activities.
  • Desired Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in electromechanical assembly / test / inspection.
  • Ability to read and comprehend mechanical / assembly drawings.
  • Leadership skills / training such as Lean Manufacturing concepts and Team skills.

Day shift only - Flex time available. Start times range from 6 am to 8:30 am.  Team members are allowed to choose a work schedule consisting of four 9 hour days and a 4 hour Friday. 

Pay Rate:  $18/Hour

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
