Job description

Our client, a leading manufacturing organization, is seeking an Engineering Technician I to join their team on 3rd shift. As an Engineering Technician I, you will be part of the Engineering Laboratory supporting engineering, manufacturing, and product development teams. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Engineering Technician I

Location: Wakesha, WI
Shift: 3rd (11:00PM to 8:00AM)

Pay Range: $23.00 to $26.00/hr

What’s the Job?
  • Set up test equipment and products in accordance with approved test procedures and specifications.
  • Perform mechanical, electrical, environmental, and electromechanical testing on prototypes, existing products, and competitor products.
  • Interpret, record, and document test measurements, including temperature, pressure, and electrical data.
  • Assist with fabrication of test equipment, prototype assemblies, troubleshooting efforts, and laboratory operations.
  • Prepare test reports, maintain documentation in database systems, and support laboratory audits and 5S initiatives.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic understanding of electrical techniques, testing processes, and measurement equipment such as multimeters and power analyzers.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, work independently, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
