Welcome to Holiday Inn Express & Suites Dallas South - Desoto, where modern luxury meets impeccable service! Our boutique hotel offers a total of 88 rooms, of which 44 are suites, and six are two bedroom suites. DeSoto is an ideal location 12 miles south of downtown Dallas & Dallas Love Field Airport, and minutes away from Arlington and Fort Worth. Families will love being near Dallas Zoo, UNT Dallas, Medieval Times, Six Flags Over Texas, Hurricane Harbor, Dealey Plaza/JFK Museum, State Fair of Texas, and local shopping at Uptown Village. Sports fans can visit the American Airlines Center, Cowboy Stadium, Lone Star Park, Cotton Bowl, Texas Motorplex and Grimes Park, home of indoor BMX racing. Business travelers are just five minutes from AAFES, Brenntag, Solar Turbines, Zep, DIAB Aircraft, BrassCraft, Adesa & Manheim Auto Auction. Our DeSoto hotel offers the convenience of on-site meetings with our 2,900 Sq. Ft.

We have a great opportunity to join our team as a Front Desk Agent.

  • Responsible for counting cash, and maintaining accuracy of issued cash drawer at the beginning and end of each scheduled shift.
  • Daily checks the front desk log for problems, special requests, etc.
  • Greets, registers, and assigns rooms to guests.
  • Transmits and receives telephone messages when necessary.
  • Works closely with the reservations department to ensure arrival dates on reservations are correct.
  • Communicates all information to the following shift to ensure a smooth transition.
  • Works closely with all hotel departments to ensure the highest quality of customer service.
  • Answers inquiries pertaining to hotel services; registration of guests; and shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions. Explains in-room and hotel features.
  • Responsible for completing all required shift paperwork and reports as assigned by management.
  • Responsible for completing all end of shift cash closing procedures.
  • Keeps records of room availability and guests' accounts.
  • Computes bill, collects payment, and makes changes for guests.
  • Makes and confirms reservations.
  • Posts charges such as room, food, liquor, or telephone to ledger.
  • Completes daily-required shift checklists.
  • Must wear required uniform. Must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.
