Job Description

THE SELECTED CANDIDATE WILL BE OFFERED A SALARY BETWEEN $62,868 - $72,298.
The Administration for Children's Services (ACS) protects and promotes the safety and well-being of children and families through child welfare and juvenile justice services and community supports. ACS manages community-based supports and foster care services, and provides subsidized child care vouchers. ACS child protection staff respond to allegations of child maltreatment. In juvenile justice, ACS oversees detention, placement and programs for youth in the community.
The Office of Training and Workforce Development (OTWD), which is housed within the Division of Policy, Planning, and Measurement of the Administration for Children's Services, includes the James Satterwhite Academy, the Workforce Institute, and the Institute for Leadership Development. Reporting to the Deputy Director of Training, the Coordinator of Training will support the implementation of training requirements, including working closely with ACS' provider agencies in the community, tracking targeted deliverables, and supporting associated processes and logistics.
The position will interface with OTWD staff and partners, other ACS teams, and community-based provider agency leadership and staff to assure good communication and the timeliness of deliverables.
Responsibilities of this position:
- Manage shared mailboxes, which includes responding to emails from community-based provider agencies in a timely manner as well as vetting and approving requests submitted to substitute training from community-based provider agencies.
- Support community-based provider agencies with training requirement processes, such as assigning tracks, external trainings, etc.
- Support information sessions with leadership at provider agencies in the community to share information about the training requirements and answer questions.
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to foster collaboration and build community.
- Participate in training requirement planning, implementation, and process improvement meetings.
- Prepare regular reports regarding training completion and any other reports as needed and/or requested.
- Identify gaps, analyze systemwide trends, and propose improvements to the OTWD team.
- Work closely with our Learning Management System Team to ensure accuracy and timeliness of reports.
- Provide support to OTWD leadership as needed, including, but not limited to, supporting special projects and providing administrative support.
- Attend internal and external meetings in the community on behalf of OTWD preparing meeting agendas, taking notes, and facilitating as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described above; or
2. High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties as described above; or
3. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" or "2" above. However, all candidates must have at least one year of experience as described in "1" above.
