Kitchen Manager/ Vegan Cook

The Kitchen Manager/ Vegan Cook will oversee day-to-day operations, develop and refine menus rooted in diverse regional flavors, and bring innovation to plant-based cuisine. You'll ensure consistency and quality across every dish while upholding high standards of food safety, organization, and efficiency. This role calls for a passionate leader who can inspire a team, celebrate seasonal ingredients, and help tell our food story both in and beyond the kitchen.

WHAT WILL I DO?

As our Kitchen Manager/ Vegan Cook, you'll play a central role in shaping both our food and our kitchen culture. Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth, efficient service in a fast-paced environment
  • Inspire, mentor, and develop a high-performing kitchen team through strong, hands-on leadership
  • Oversee prep and execution of plant-based dishes, maintaining consistency, quality, and presentation standards
  • Develop and refine menus inspired by regional flavors, translating culinary traditions into innovative vegan offerings
  • Transform fresh, seasonal, and heirloom ingredients into exciting, approachable, and health-forward meals
  • Embrace a true farm-to-table philosophy, participating in menu planning that reflects what's locally grown, harvested, and at peak freshness
  • Coordinate closely with the team to ensure timely, accurate, and well-executed dishes during service
  • Uphold and enforce food safety, sanitation, and organizational standards across all kitchen activities
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and prep planning to minimize waste and maximize efficiency
  • Champion sustainability initiatives, including waste reduction and environmentally conscious kitchen practices
  • Stay current on food trends and continuously explore new ingredients, techniques, and flavor profiles

Position requirements:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is desired
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of professional culinary experience is required. (Vegan cooking experience required)
  • Knowledge of various regional cuisines is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with food safety practices is required.
