DESCRIPTION

PM&R / Interventional Pain Physician- Abilene Sports Medicine & Orthopedics | Abilene, TX

Opportunity Overview

Abilene Sports Medicine & Orthopedics (ASM&O ) is seeking a PM&R physician with interventional spine training or a fellowship-trained Pain Management physician to join its established, physician-led orthopedic practice in Abilene, Texas. This is an exceptional opportunity to build a comprehensive non-operative spine and pain practice within a collaborative group that has been providing outstanding orthopedic care to West Texas communities for more than twenty years.

The incoming physician will benefit from a strong referral network of orthopedic surgeons, primary care physicians, and community providers throughout the region. Physicians with interests in spine care, musculoskeletal medicine, EMG/NCS, fluoroscopic-guided injections, radiofrequency ablation, regenerative medicine, and interventional pain procedures will find significant opportunity to develop a busy practice while maintaining clinical autonomy and a high quality of life.

Where You Will Work

Founded in 2004, Abilene Sports Medicine & Orthopedics has become a trusted resource for orthopedic care throughout West Texas. The practice offers comprehensive musculoskeletal services across multiple specialties, including spine, sports medicine, hand surgery, foot and ankle, shoulder and elbow, and general orthopedics.

With limited competition in the region and increasing demand for musculoskeletal and spine services, the incoming physician will have the opportunity to quickly establish a thriving practice supported by experienced physicians, advanced practice providers, and an established referral base.

Where You Will Live

Located in the heart of Texas, Abilene offers a quality of life that is increasingly difficult to find in larger metropolitan areas. Physicians enjoy affordable housing, short commute times, excellent schools, and abundant recreational opportunities. Whether your interests include golf, tennis, hunting, fishing, youth sports, or simply having more space to enjoy life outside of work, Abilene provides the opportunity to live well while remaining connected to a vibrant and welcoming community.

Who You Will Work For

Abilene Sports Medicine & Orthopedics is an independent, physician-led practice committed to clinical excellence and long-term physician success. The group has earned a strong reputation throughout West Texas by combining exceptional orthopedic care with a deep commitment to the communities it serves.

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation includes a competitive base salary ranging from $350,000 to $400,000, commensurate with experience and fellowship training, along with a two-year income guarantee and transition to a productivity-based compensation model. Physicians have the opportunity to pursue partnership and ownership within the practice, including participation in ancillary revenue streams and other practice growth opportunities. A comprehensive benefits package and relocation assistance are also available. Final compensation will be based on training, experience, qualifications, procedural expertise, and market considerations.
