Trading Systems Engineer – Chicago Hybrid4 days in Office – Mon-ThursRole Summary:This role is an advanced support application engineer that sits within the Investment Technology team working on our company's most critical investment tools. Our mission is to empower our investment professionals to achieve greater success by leveraging Technology & Data to enhance decision-making.This position will require strong troubleshooting skills with a focus on quality, communication & quick turnaround on deliverables. The role requires working with various teams to triage, analyze potential solutions, and develop them to meet business operational objectives.We seek creative engineers with strong analytical skills and broad exposure to software development with the drive to solve business and technology problems. Intellectual curiosity with a keen interest in investing & asset management are essential for a rewarding career and long-term success at the firm.Responsibilities:Provide support for Trading, Order Management & Trading Services teams on vended platforms & proprietary integrations by triaging & solving issues and work with vendor support, as needed, during prime business hours and help with escalations, outside normal business hours, only when necessary.Triage, analyze, document solutions, and contribute to code to remediate incidents.Manage & execute on requests for enhancements to software, configurations, workflows & systems in the Trading and Order Management domains.Review, manage, and communicate progress with stakeholders, teammates, and management.Collaborate with team to improve our standards in architecture & DevOps and over time, develop additional business, technical & platform skills in the Front Office domain.Requirements:3+ years experience in technical support within financial services applications and systemsExperience and Domain Knowledge of financial trading markets – experience supporting trading platforms used in Order Management, Trading and Portfolio OperationsAdvanced troubleshooting, technical and business problem solving, and experience working with escalated support with external third party vendorsProven ability to effectively work with business users and technology teamsNice to Have's:Development experience with C# and SQLExperience with Charles River Investment Management System and Execution Management systemsExperience with Middle Office operational platforms and the post-trade lifecycle
