Job description

At Trillion Technology Solutions, Inc. (Trillion), we build technology solutions that empower our team to do their best work in support of our clients. We are looking for a versatile, proactive, and sharp IT Systems & Support Engineer to join our team to support our end users, cloud infrastructure, and network environment. If you are someone who enjoys solving a complex desktop issue in one hour and optimizing an AWS/Azure cloud environment or configuring a firewall the next, you will thrive and grow here.

The Role

You will provide top-tier desktop support to our team while managing and securing our hybrid cloud environments (AWS & Azure), overseeing our network infrastructure, day-to-day security operations, and serving as our internal expert for Microsoft 365 and SharePoint. You will be a key point of contact for keeping our systems reliable, secure, and running smoothly.

NOTE: This is a hybrid position. The candidate will need to be local to the DMV area as this hire will need to be in the office as needed.

Key Responsibilities

· Cloud & Infrastructure Management: Administer, maintain, and optimize our cloud infrastructure across both AWS and Azure.

· Desktop & End-User Support: Provide Tier 1/2/3 desktop support for Windows and macOS environments, troubleshooting hardware, software, and peripheral issues.

· M365 & SharePoint Administration: Manage the Office 365 suite, including user provisioning, Exchange Online, Teams, and SharePoint site architecture, permissions, and document libraries.

· Network Operations: Deploy, configure, and maintain network devices (LAN/WAN, firewalls, and VPNs). Ensure high availability and optimal network performance.

· IT Security & Compliance: Implement and monitor security best practices across endpoints, networks, and cloud environments (IAM, MFA, conditional access

policies, and patch management). Monitor systems and respond to security incidents; support endpoint protection, patching, and access controls.

· Documentation: Maintain up-to-date documentation for network diagrams, IT policies, asset management, and standard operating procedures.

· Vendor coordination: Escalate and collaborate with vendors or senior engineers on complex issues.

Required:

· Experience: 3–5 years of experience in an IT Support, Systems Administration, or a related role.

· Cloud Proficiency: Hands-on experience managing resources within both AWS (EC2, S3, IAM) and Azure (Active Directory/Entra ID, Virtual Machines).

· Microsoft Ecosystem Expert: Deep knowledge of Office 365 administration and SharePoint management (including site creation, workflows, and permissions).

· Networking Foundations: Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, and firewall configuration.

· Security Mindset: Familiarity with endpoint security (EDR/Antivirus), identity management, and data loss prevention (DLP) strategies.

· Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, a customer-centric attitude, and the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical users.

· Other: Ability to work on-site part of the week to support desktop hardware needs.

Preferred:

· Experience administering Microsoft 365 / Azure GCC High (Government Community Cloud) environments, including familiarity with strict compliance controls (NIST SP 800-171, CMMC, or ITAR).

· Certifications such as: AWS SysOps Administrator, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator (AZ-104), CompTIA Security+, or CCNA.

· Experience with scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, or Python) for automation.

· Experience managing MDM solutions (e.g., Microsoft Intune, Jamf).
