Senior Manager - Sustainable Operations

The Boeing Company's Global Enterprise Sustainability (GES) team is seeking aSenior Manager -Sustainable Operations, who will advance our 2030 operational goals, lead collaborative efforts to improve efficiency in our operations, and enhance governance in support of regulatory compliance. This position canbe located inArlington, VA;Tukwila, WA;Everett, WA; Mesa, AZ;orHazelwood, MO.

The Global Enterprise Sustainability organization supports Boeing's mission to connect, protect and explore our world and beyond,safelyand sustainably. OurSustainable Operations team has an outstanding opportunity for a strategic problem solver with a passion for sustainability who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead strategy development and implementation of enterprise sustainable operations strategy to achieve organizational goals and desired business outcomes
  • Manage sustainable operations projects and investment portfolio including capital and expense expenditures, energy performance contracting and more; partner across the enterprise to prioritize resourcing and project execution
  • Develop plans to achieve sustainable operations goals on time in partnership with the business
  • Lead company strategy for renewable energy usage and resource efficiency improvements in operations
  • Develop and lead company initiatives to engage employees and provide resources to support individual, program and site level sustainability initiatives
  • Deliver enterprise environmental (energy, waste, water) data to support target performance and reporting needs
  • Partner cross-functionally to evaluate and address energy-related policies and regulations with impact to Boeing facilities and operations
  • Support Sustainable Operations Council activities in coordination with senior leaders and functional peers

Critical skills and experiences for success in the role include:

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, including ability to establish relationships and build trust with key stakeholders including team members, customers, peers, regulators, business and functional partners
  • Excellent written, presentation and interpersonal communications skills for internal and external audiences at all levels
  • Critical thinking, analytical skills, strategic decision making
  • Strategic planning, strategydevelopmentand program/project management
  • Collaborative approach to teamwork & partnership
  • Ability to work with employees across all levels including Senior Leadership/C-Suite members

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate willbe requiredto perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiringteam's discretion and could potentially change in the future.Currentlythreeormoredays in office a week.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • 5+ years of experience leading environmental sustainability related programs with a focus on operations, including development of strategies, goals and implementation plans
  • 5+ years of experience leading teams and/or projects

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Master's Degree or higher in related field
  • 9+ years of experience in environmental/operational sustainability, business management, operations efficiency and planning, and/or related field
  • 9+ years of experience leading teams and/orhighly cross-functionalprojects
  • Leadership experience in managing sustainability programs, teams, or sustainability strategies for organizations with global business reach
  • Data management/governance; experience with reporting data platforms (e.g. Workiva, Enablon, etc.)
