Procurement Multi-fam Mgr (Sup Mgt&Prcrmnt Multi Fam)

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Procurement Multi-Family Manager to join our dynamic team in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

This Senior Manager position will have responsibility for leading the Executive Transport and Airborne Warning & Control Systems (AWACS) team.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Acts as an authorized agent of the company with responsibility for managing all supplier-related activities and having the authority to commit company resources through contracts and agreements
  • Manages employees and First line managers from multiple teams performing activities related to the acquisition of goods and services in support of company operations, supplier assessment and performance improvement, management and improvement of supply chain management and processes
  • Develops and executes integrated organizational plans, policies and procedures and guides the development of business and technical strategies, goals and objectives
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct report.
  • Presents to the customer in program reviews
  • Provides oversight regarding negotiation strategies, processes and related tools
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees and managers

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Shift:

This position is for 1st shift.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. (An Interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post Start is required.)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

5+ years' experience in Supplier Management or Supply Chain Management

Strong communication and relational skills and abilities

Ability to effectively interface with internal senior and executive leaders as well as those externally, including VIP customer focals

Experience managing suppliers/vendors to deliver products and services

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Bachelor's Degree or higher

5+ years' experience leading a team or program

Experience in contract negotiations with U.S. Government Customers

Experience leading or managing projects that involved cross-functional or cross-business unit teams

Experience in negotiating contracts or managing supplier performance

Typical Education/Experience:

Typically 15 or more years' related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.
