Job description


Our client is a national law firm focused on complex class action litigation is seeking an experienced attorney to join its Securities Practice Group in its Midtown Manhattan office.


Position Overview

The Securities Litigation Associate will play an integral role in litigating complex securities matters and will be responsible for handling all aspects of litigation, from discovery through pre-trial practice. The ideal candidate will have at least three (3) years of litigation experience, with securities litigation experience strongly preferred.


Key Responsibilities

  • Litigate complex securities and class action matters.
  • Manage and participate in all aspects of discovery.
  • Conduct and defend depositions.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests and responses, and other litigation documents.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research and develop effective legal strategies.
  • Assist with all aspects of pre-trial practice and trial preparation.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and other members of the Securities Practice Group.
  • Qualifications & Requirements


Required:


  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • At least three (3) years of relevant litigation experience.
  • Admission to practice law in New York.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated experience with all aspects of discovery, including conducting and defending depositions.
  • Experience with pre-trial litigation practice.
  • Securities litigation experience preferred.
  • Complex litigation experience.
