Job description

Regional Sales Manager – Retail West

Drive Growth. Build Partnerships. Shape the Future of Premium Bakery in Retail.

At Bridor North America, we bring premium European-style breads and pastries to retail customers across North America. Our products help grocery retailers elevate their bakery departments through quality, innovation, merchandising, and consistency consumers trust.

We are seeking a driven, curious, and entrepreneurial Regional Sales Manager – Retail West to help accelerate retail growth across the Western U.S.

This is a high-impact, field-based sales role for someone who understands how retail works but also brings an open-minded and adaptable approach to growth. We are looking for someone who is motivated, collaborative, comfortable working independently, and excited to help expand a premium brand in a growing market.

This is not a maintenance role. This is an opportunity to build, grow, and make an impact.

Position Summary

The Regional Sales Manager – Retail West is responsible for providing sales, marketing, and merchandising leadership to retail customers throughout the Western U.S. territory.

This role is focused on growing sales, strengthening customer and broker relationships, identifying new opportunities, and executing customer-specific growth strategies that drive profitable results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and develop relationships with retail customers and broker partners throughout the territory
  • Use relationships and market knowledge to identify and pursue new business opportunities
  • Develop and maintain strong contacts within assigned accounts to influence decisions and support long-term growth
  • Develop annual business plans for customers focused on maximizing opportunities and driving profitable growth
  • Lead the planning, execution, evaluation, and presentation of customer-specific marketing initiatives and R&D projects
  • Expand business within existing accounts while developing new customer relationships
  • Analyze category, industry, and competitive trends to identify opportunities and recommend proactive growth strategies
  • Lead major projects, product launches, and retail rollouts from planning through execution
  • Partner closely with Marketing, R&D, Operations, and leadership teams to support customer initiatives
  • Recruit and manage broker relationships when necessary to support regional sales objectives
  • Maintain a strong understanding of market trends, customer needs, and competitive activity

Experience & Background
  • 5–10 years of Retail Sales experience, preferably within the In-Store Bakery sector
  • Working knowledge of marketing, analytics, and/or research
  • Proven ability to drive sales growth and develop new business opportunities
  • Experience managing and developing relationships with retail customers and broker partners
  • Strong understanding of retail environments and customer relationship management
  • Ability to work independently from a home office while collaborating effectively with internal teams
  • Curious, adaptable, and open-minded approach to business and problem solving
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is someone who understands the fundamentals of retail sales and knows how to build strong customer relationships, but who also brings curiosity, adaptability, and a growth mindset to the role.

This person is:

  • Motivated by building business, creating opportunities, and driving results
  • Comfortable working independently while staying connected to a larger team
  • Naturally curious and willing to ask questions, learn, and explore new ideas
  • Not rigid in their approach and open to different perspectives and ways of working
  • Confident interacting with retail buyers, brokers, and cross-functional teams
  • Organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities across a large territory
  • Someone who thrives in a fast-moving, growth-oriented environment rather than simply maintaining existing business

Skills & Qualifications
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to effectively present ideas, opportunities, and business plans to customers and internal teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Demonstrated ability to drive sales results and manage multiple priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a larger team
  • Must follow all company safety, health, environmental, and operational policies

Working Conditions
  • Remote, field-based position operating from a home office
  • Travel required approximately 50–70% throughout the Western U.S.

Why Bridor?

Bridor North America is continuing to invest heavily in growth across the U.S. retail and foodservice markets, including:

  • Expansion of U.S. manufacturing capacity with a new Salt Lake City facility underway
  • Future expansion planning in Texas to strengthen national supply capabilities
  • A growing operational network across Quebec, Connecticut, New Jersey, and Utah
  • Continued investment in premium bakery innovation and retail growth

This is an opportunity to join a company with strong momentum, premium products, and a collaborative culture focused on growth and long-term success.

What We Offer
  • Performance-based bonus opportunity
  • Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance
  • Short- and Long-Term Disability Insurance
  • Life Insurance
  • Paid Vacation, Sick Time, and 11 Paid Holidays
  • Annual Production Bonus
