Job Summary

The Manager, Real Estate, plays a key role within the Enterprise Real Estate (“ERE”) Transaction and Portfolio Management team, offering comprehensive support across all Comcast Connectivity and Platforms business units. These units occupy more than 2,800 properties worldwide, encompassing a broad spectrum of commercial real estate from office buildings and call centers to industrial and flex facilities, towers, land and development sites, as well as data centers. This position is responsible for leading or assisting with lease negotiations, site selection, project management, portfolio planning, and reporting, focusing particularly on critical infrastructure and data centers. The role involves frequent collaboration with business leaders and several cross-functional departments, such as Legal, IT, Finance, Tax, EHS, and Risk. Strong relationship management skills are vital for success in this position.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Negotiate lease, sublease, license, and purchase agreements directly or through brokers.
  • Maintain a current portfolio of projects and support departmental analytics and reporting.
  • Manage brokers and other third-party service providers.
  • Conduct financial analyses for real estate options, such as own-versus-lease assessments, consolidation opportunities, and comparative site reviews.
  • Develop and present deal justifications, approval documents, and planning materials.
  • Participate in annual strategic planning initiatives.
  • Monitor industry and technological trends.
  • Perform additional real estate transaction, planning, and reporting tasks as assigned.
  • Ensure accuracy in contracts, reporting, and project documentation by demonstrating strong attention to detail.

Requirements:

  • Have 7+ years of experience managing commercial real estate transactions or planning across multi-market portfolios.
  • Possess experience with IT organizations, critical infrastructure, or data center properties.
  • Demonstrate strong financial analysis skills, including comparative cost analysis, time value of money, and valuation.
  • Show proven ability to handle multiple projects independently in fast-paced environments.
  • Be willing to travel and work outside normal hours as needed.
  • Hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
     

Bonus to have:

  • Hold real estate or data center certifications (CCIM, MCR, SLCR, CDCD/P).
  • Have direct experience working with commercial real estate brokers.
  • Possess a graduate degree (MBA, MSRE) or a relevant certificate.
