WHAT DO YOU NEED?

Our ideal Construction Quality Manager has at least one quality control/construction management certification, such as ISO 9001 or ASQ CQE. Experience using Spectrum, ProjectSight, or similar project management software would be a bonus. We're looking for someone who has:

  • Ability to work from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday, work on active project sites, and work in all weather conditions
  • NETTCP QA Technologist certification
  • 10+ years of experience in highway bridge construction
  • B.S. engineering degree (or higher) OR 5+ additional years of management or materials testing experience in highway bridge construction
  • Experience working on design-build or accelerated construction projects
  • Ability to read plans and perform quantity take-offs
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications and Bluebeam software
  • In-depth knowledge of building codes, construction methods, materials, regulations, and quality control processes
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Analytical problem-solving skills and decision-making abilities
  • Communication skills with the ability to effectively work with stakeholders at all levels
  • Organizational skills for multitasking

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

The Construction Quality Manager is the one who ensures that all quality expectations are fully met during every stage of our highway bridge construction projects. This role blends leadership skills with hands-on inspections and audits, and you'll work with superintendents, subcontractors, and project managers to ensure alignment with industry regulations and company standards. Responsibilities include (but aren't limited to):

  • Managing our QC inspection/testing programs and overseeing the daily activities of quality technicians and third-party agencies
  • Preparing project-specific quality control and management plans to maximize efficiency, productivity, and consistency
  • Performing routine QC inspections/audits on construction materials, workmanship, and finished products before, during, and after project completion
  • Ensuring all processes align with job plans and safety procedures
  • Overseeing on-site testing to make sure materials meet quality standards
  • Identifying, reporting, and correcting discrepancies or non-conformities
