Rate of Pay: $50,000 - $55,000/ year

Job Summary
The Youth League and Program Manager position at Canlan Sports involves overseeing Youth Leagues, Learn to Skate, Learn to Play Hockey Programs, and Camps. The role requires collaboration with Centralized Programs teams to maintain consistent program delivery. Leadership, innovation, and a focus on customer service are key aspects of this role.
Position Requirements

  • Adherence to approved Canlan Sports policies and on-site schedules.
  • Occasional travel for team meetings or conferences.

Accountabilities

  • The Manager is accountable for:
    • Staff management, program operations oversight, optimizing customer experience, and financial management.


Leadership Competencies and Responsibilities

  • Team Management: Oversight of part-time instructors with an emphasis on consistent program delivery.
  • Customer Relationship Development: Fostering a customer-focused culture.
  • Sales Leadership: Driving program promotion and sales.
  • Decision-making and Management: Assisting in the execution of the Annual Operating Plan.

  • Building strategic partnerships internally to drive the success of Canlan Sports.


Qualifications and Education

  • University Degree or College Diploma in Business, Recreation, Facility Management, or related.
  • Standard First Aid/AED certification preferred.
  • Clear vulnerable sector police check required.


Abilities, Attributes, and Experience

  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a Sports-related business.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with camps and community programs.
  • Knowledge of various sports, particularly Hockey and figure skating.
  • Strong organizational and customer management skills.
