Job Summary

The Chemical Trader & Sales Manager is responsible for driving international chemical and plastic resin trading activities, including market development, commercial negotiations, contract execution, and end-to-end import/export logistics. This role oversees risk management, compliance, and supply chain coordination while collaborating closely with U.S and Korea-based teams to support sustainable business growth.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales & Business Development

  • Coordinate and manage customer accounts and sales activities.

  • Participate in new business development initiatives and strategic sales planning.

  • Identify and pursue growth opportunities within existing and prospective accounts.

  • Directly communicate with purchasing and sourcing teams of large corporations nationwide.

2. Account Management & Customer Support

  • Support customer needs and maintain strong customer relationships.

  • Assist the Sales Manager with sales-related tasks, reports, and documentation.

  • Maintain detailed client records and account information.

3. Project Management

  • Manage project details including project flow, timelines, and budgets.

  • Monitor project progress and ensure timely execution of customer requirements.

4. Market Intelligence & Industry Analysis

  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of customers’ businesses, competitors, and industry trends.

  • Monitor market developments and provide relevant updates to internal stakeholders.

5. Additional Duties

  • Perform other assignments, projects, and responsibilities as required.

Qualifications

1. Education & Work Authorization

  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred (or equivalent college experience).

2. Communication & Interpersonal Skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Korean

  • Ability to operate effectively in bilingual business environments

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural corporate environment with

  • U.S and Korean teams.

3. Technical & Analytical Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office application (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Strong analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills

  • Ability to quickly learn, comprehend, and apply new concepts

4. Professional Experience

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with both internal and external

  • customers

  • Experience in the steel industry preferred

  • Experience in sales, sales planning, and strategic planning preferred

    Korean bilingual is preferred.
