Description

About the Role

Gravitate is seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of third-party SaaS integrations for CrossRoads (XR). CrossRoads is Gravitate's carrier and partner integration platform, connecting fuel retailers, carriers, suppliers, and external systems to enable seamless exchange of orders, statuses, BOLs, delivery updates, and other operational data across platforms.

This role is not a traditional project coordinator role. The right person will be responsible for driving carrier integration projects from scoping through testing and cutover, while coordinating across customers, carriers, internal Product, Engineering, Customer Success, Delivery, and Support teams. This is not a developer role, but the candidate must be technical enough to understand APIs, data mapping, integration dependencies, testing plans, system ownership, and release risk.

What You'll Own

The Technical PM will own CrossRoads/XR integration project backlog prioritization and the operational execution of integration initiatives. This includes managing timelines, coordinating stakeholders, tracking dependencies, driving decisions, and ensuring integrations progress efficiently from "kickoff" to production "go-live" without losing momentum.

Core Responsibilities

  • Manage third-party carrier and partner integration projects for CrossRoads/XR from kickoff through production cutover.
  • Build and maintain integration project plans, timelines, dependency trackers, testing plans, and cutover checklists.
  • Coordinate directly with carriers, retailers, customer IT teams, and internal Gravitate teams.
  • Lead recurring integration syncs with customers and partners, including agenda creation, notes, action items, risks, decisions, and follow-up.
  • Collect and organize carrier integration details, including points of contact, TMS system, API/SFTP capability, test environment readiness, data ownership, and rollout priority.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to clarify technical scope, identify gaps, and track release commitments.
  • Translate customer and carrier needs into clear implementation requirements and internal tickets where needed.
  • Track API readiness, mapping requirements, test scenarios, error handling, and approval workflows.
  • Manage testing coordination across customer, carrier, and Gravitate teams, including test data, expected results, issue tracking, retesting, and signoff.
  • Own cutover readiness, including go/no-go criteria, rollback plans, customer communication, and post-go-live support handoff.
  • Ensure CrossRoads/XR integrations are documented clearly enough for Delivery, Support, Product, and future implementations to reuse.
  • Maintain visibility into risks such as missing customer data, carrier delays, unclear ownership, API gaps, release timing, and incomplete acceptance criteria.

Required Experience

  • 3-7+ years of experience managing SaaS implementations, technical projects, integrations, or customer-facing delivery work.
  • Experience coordinating third-party integrations involving APIs, SFTP, webhooks, EDI, file feeds, or similar data exchange patterns.
  • Strong project management skills: timelines, action items, owners, risks, dependencies, decisions, status reporting, and escalation.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience working with customers, vendors, or external partners where timelines depend on multiple organizations.
  • Ability to run effective meetings and drive follow-up without waiting to be told what to do next.
  • Comfortable reading API documentation, integration diagrams, data mapping documents, and technical requirements.
  • Strong written communication skills for customer updates, internal notes, implementation plans, and executive summaries.
  • Ability to learn a complex product and become the operational owner for a repeatable integration process.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in fuel, logistics, transportation, dispatch, TMS, ERP, supply chain, or carrier integrations.
  • Experience working with carrier systems, retailer systems, or order management platforms.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Slack, Notion, Google Workspace, HubSpot, or PSA/project delivery platforms.
  • Experience managing integration testing, UAT, production cutover, and post-go-live stabilization.
  • Experience working with Product and Engineering teams to manage technical dependencies and release timing.
  • Basic understanding of SaaS architecture, APIs, authentication, data mapping, and event-based integrations.

In the first 90 days, this person should be able to:

  • Build a standard CrossRoads/XR carrier integration project plan.
  • Create a repeatable carrier intake checklist.
  • Establish a standard customer/carrier meeting cadence and status format.
  • Track all active XR carrier integrations in one place.
  • Identify which carrier integrations are blocked by customer readiness, carrier readiness, Gravitate technical work, or unclear scope.
  • Improve handoff between Sales/CS, Delivery, Product, Engineering, and Support.
  • Drive at least one carrier integration from scoping/testing into production readiness.
