Copart is seeking a highly motivated Yard Supervisor to join our Permanent CAT (Catastrophe) Team. The Yard Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily yard operations, supporting yard staff, and ensuring efficient workflows that deliver exceptional customer experience.

Travel Requirements:
  • Must be willing and able to travel up to 90% of the year
  • Must be available for deployment with 24-hour or less notice
  • Travel includes extended stays for CAT event response and Business Support deployments
  • Per-dem and travel bonuses provided during deployments

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise day-to-day operations of yard staff and activities
  • Complete daily, weekly, and monthly audits
  • Schedule and manage employee time and attendance
  • Enforce safety awareness and company policies
  • Ensure yard cleanliness and a safe working environment
  • Support security and loss prevention efforts
  • Oversee the secure and efficient loading of vehicles
  • Handle employee and customer service issues professionally
  • Maintain supply inventory and manage supply purchases
  • Provide training, coaching, and mentorship to staff
  • Perform fleet management and preventative maintenance
  • Conduct facility and yard maintenance, including fences
  • Respond to alarm calls and emergency yard situations
  • Assist with mechanical issues on yard vehicles as needed
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive documentation
  • Ensure productivity and efficiency metrics are met
  • Represent Copart values while deployed
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by management

Required Skills and Experience
  • 1 plus years of supervisory or equivalent experience
  • High School Diploma, some college or more preferred
  • Basic knowledge of automotive mechanics
  • Excellent customer service skills and attitude
  • Computer proficiency (MS Suite experience)
